OUR STORY
Knox Auto Body is a family-owned business in a small town in southern Maine, where the family has called home since the 1920s. Adrian and his father Leon opened the shop in 2004. Since then, they've built a team of experienced technicians who combine the latest techniques, hands-on skill, and superior products to deliver a "never been damaged" quality finish — on every vehicle, every time. When you trust us with your car, you're trusting a family that's been part of this community for generations.
Adrian Knox — co-owner, business manager, and master painter — found his passion for automobiles as a teenager and went on to train at the Universal Technical Institute in Texas. Back home in Shapleigh, he saw a gap: southern Maine needed a quality shop run by people who actually care. That conviction built Knox Auto Body into a shop that thousands of local customers trust for collision repair, custom paint, and everything in between. Adrian is here almost every day — and he knows your name.

Leon "Pa"
Co-Founder
Leon — "Pa" to everyone in the shop — co-founded Knox Auto Body with his son Adrian in 2004. His vision: quality auto body repair and restoration for the local community, done right. He shares his mechanical and operational know-how with the team daily. When he's not in the shop, you'll find him in the sap house, running the saw mill, or getting the snow-plow fleet ready for winter.

Stan
Maintenance Technician
Stan joined the Knox team when his daughter Megan married Adrian — making him family in every sense. He's the man who keeps this place running. From installing new equipment and troubleshooting systems to painting, woodworking, and maintaining the facility inside and out, Stan does it all. Off the clock, you'll find him on the beach with his family.

Auto Specialist
Eli handles the jobs most shops won't touch — complex auto, diesel, farm equipment, and machinery issues. He brings a professional commitment to safety and productivity to every task, whether he's diagnosing a customer's vehicle on the shop floor or keeping Knox's own equipment in top shape. A farmer at heart, Eli spends his time away from the shop on the land with his family.

Automotive Paint Technician / Auto Artist
Bailey lives for a perfect finish. A master at paint matching and blending, he works with a wide range of paints using the latest spray equipment and proven techniques. His eye for color and his hands-on precision are what turn a repair into something that truly dazzles.

Auto Body Technician
Max has been part of the Knox team for over 10 years, and he brings the same dedication every day: get wrecked cars back to pre-accident condition. A graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute, he has the education, the hands-on experience, and the genuine love for restoring old cars to their original beauty that makes him one of our best.

Braydn keeps vehicles running right. As our shop mechanic, he handles mechanical diagnosis and repair so your car comes out of Knox in the condition it should be.
